Medium WaffleSandwich

The Waffle Breakfast Sandwich was a breakfast item sold at Jack in the Box. It featured a country-grilled sausage patty, a fried egg and melted American cheese between two lightly sweetened toasted maple waffles.

It was introduced in July 2012 and remained on the menu for nearly three years before being discontinued in mid-2015.

Reception[]

Reviewer JK Grence opined that the Waffle Breakfast Sandwich "doesn't show the same balance" of savoriness and sweetness as the similar McGriddle sandwich sold by McDonald's.[1] Claudia Koerner of the Orange County Register also compared it unfavorably to the McGriddle: "Even though the fillings outpace its fast-food competitor, Jack in the Box is just serving up disappointment with this limp sandwich."[2] The Impulsive Buy deemed it "surprisingly, very good."[3]
