The virtual drive-thru attendant is a virtual character created by ZONED Gaming for Jack in the Box's Twitch account.[1] An Ad Age article indicates that it is not Jack Box, but a character "dressed as the Jack in the Box mascot."[2]
For a week in May 2022, Jack in the Box's Twitch account played a continuous 25-second loop featuring the character manning a "virtual drive-thru." The attendant is sitting in a gamer chair looking at a desktop PC when a car pulls up to the window. When he notices the car, he gets up from the chair, saunters over to the window. He bends down to grab a to-go bag beneath the window. He places it onto a round platform and gives two thumbs up to the car/viewer as a QR code (offering a deal for free food with any app purchase) appears. He then waves and his smile turns wider, before walking back to his gamer chair. The bag descends a tube, presumably to the car, which rolls up its window and drives away.
