The Jack Burrito was a deep-fried burrito served at Jack in the Box.

Development[]

The Jack Burrito was added to the menu in 1977 and discontinued a few years later. Former director of marketing Richard Wenz called it "the original chimichanga."[1]

Michael S. Lasky, author of The Complete Junk Food Book, opined "Jumbo Jacks, Jack Burritos and other items are pale imitations of what is served at other chains."[2]
